THE ARROW OF TIME ~ 2

Image
HEY THERE !! This blog is the continuation of the previous one which I ended up with suspense of 'why does the disorder increase in the same direction of time as that in which the universe expands?' So, let's scratch it up to find the answer. But to understand the solution to this query, you need to visit the previous blog. Before reading further, you must  know the meaning of the following: NO BOUNDARY PROPOSAL - In the 1980s, Stephen Hawking and James Hartle put this proposal, which states that the universe has no initial-boundary conditions on either time or space. Or it simply states that asking what came before the big bang is meaningless like asking what is south of the south pole because there is no notion of time available to refer to. The concept of time only exists within our universe. WEAK ANTHROPIC PRINCIPLE - It is the truism that the universe must be found to possess those properties that are necessary for the existence of observers...

The Arrow Of Time~ STEPHEN HAWKING

Up to the beginning of this century, people believed in an absolute time. That is, each event could be described by a number called 'time' in a unique way, and all the good clocks would agree on the time interval between two events. However, the discovery that the s[peed of light appeared the same to every observer, no matter how he was moving, led to the theory of relativity - and in that one had to abandon the idea that there was a unique absolute time. Instead, each observer would see his own measure of time as recorded by a clock that he carried. Thus time became a more personal concept, relative to the observer who measured it. When one tried to unify gravity with quantum mechanics, one had to introduce the idea of  'imaginary' time. Imaginary time is indistinguishable from directions in space. If one can go north, one can turn around and head south; equally, if one can go forward in imaginary time, one ought to be able to turn round and go backward. This means th...

Wormholes

Image
In today's blog, I'm going to take you to another mind-bending theory of physics i.e." wormholes". It is a passage through the space-time continuum that could create a quicker route for long journeys across the universe. Basically, it is a shortcut that connects extremely long distances such as a billion light-years or more ( different location, or different points in time, or both ).  For instance, take a blanket you've worn. Assume it as spacetime, take the two opposite ends of the blanket and place one over the other. GreatπŸ‘ your wormhole is ready. You have created a shortcut between two far ends of the blanket.  Einstein- Rosen bridge   Physicist Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen used the theory of general relativity in 1935 to suggest that 'bridges' or 'wormholes ' may exist that connect two different points in space and time, creating a shortcut, reducing the traveling time and distance, but only in theory. Time Travel Besides connecting tw...

BIG BANG ~ a beginning of Time

Image
AND TIME BEGINS... Our universe is the sum of the total of all existence. It is the time, space, matter, and energy in totality that began expanding some 13.8billion years ago has continued to do so ever since. The question of how our universe began had always been controversial. Nowadays, the widely accepted theory of the birth of our universe is "the big bang". Big bang explains how the universe expanded from an initial state of extremely high density and high temperature. The single super-concentrated point which later became the universe before the big bang was called the "primeval atom" or the "cosmic egg" ~ singularity. After its initial expansion, the universe cooled sufficiently to allow the formation of subatomic particles, and later atoms. Giant clouds of these primordial elements - mostly hydrogen, with some helium and lithium - later coalesced through gravity., forming early stars and galaxies, the descendants of which are visible today. Cont...

What is SPACE??🌌

Image
Hey there!! Welcome back to my cosmic world... You all might have wondered ..." what is this space?"...why we even calling it space? What is there in space? How big it is? How we feel out there??...and more. These queries used to fascinate me a lot in my childhood. So, here we go... Space begins where Earth's atmosphere ends. It is the empty void that exists between various celestial bodies, including Earth. Yet it is not completely empty. It consists of a hard vacuum with a low density of particles, mostly plasma of hydrogen and helium, as well as some electromagnetic radiation, magnetic fields, neutrinos, dust, cosmic rays, and much more... Yes, indeed!! The so-called 'empty space' is not so empty. Even the emptiest parts of space contain at least a few hundred atoms or molecules per cubic meter. How big it is?         It is boundless, no one really knows how big it  is. Long distances in space are measured in   'light years', which represents the distan...

My first blog~🌌

Hello Space Enthusiasts!!              Namaste to my beautiful worldπŸ™.. I'm so glad that you find your way to explore the universe. I'm Shruti Tomar, an astrophile...on the way to achieve my dreams. So, ya lot about me...Now let's come to the point. I'm going to start a blog series that is all about our universe. Let me tell you, friends, the coming stuff is for everyone as I'm going to start with very basic concepts. Gradually we'll reach the higher mysteries. I wish I would have started this before...I just don't want to keep everything with me. Want to impart all the knowledge I have till now. And during this process, I'm definitely going to learn more. To know about our Divine Universe is to know oneself... Schedule... I'm going to post my blogs preferably every Thursday and Sunday. This may get vary with time. So, if you are deeply and madly in love with space then come and explore the secrets of the universe with me..stay tuned!!❤️ do subscrib...
